The
world war 2 started at 1939 and ended 1945. It started when Germany
invaded Czechoslovakia and then Poland. Because of the invasion of
Poland Britain declared war on Germany. This resulted in Germany
bombing England and causing a lot of damage, not only did it bomb the
Ports but after a while they bombed the houses that caused a lot of
damage and mess. Lots of people were killed in world war 2 and then
England started bombing Germany and did the same damage there. Lots
of ships where bringing food from America to England and these were
destroyed by U boats. After the Japan bombed the ships in Pearl
Harbour America then came into the war and helped Britain. Lots of
American troops came to this country and helped us. When D-Day came
in 1944 all the troops went across the sea to France and that was the
beginning of the end of the world war 2. In
world war 2 all the Germans bombed all our factories so we couldn't
get any weapons, they also bombed all our docks, these people where
called the blitz. Hitler (the German prime minister) talked to
Winston Churchill (the England prime minister) had a talk together
and they said if Hitler took over Poland again England will help
Poland, and if we take over Poland you will help them. Soon after
that day Hitler took over Poland very cruelly so England helped
Poland. For England world war 2 went on for 6 years. Is that long or
what? They started 1939 and ended 1945, at 1945 they had a party to
celebrate for England's hard work and for the second world war
finished. They where very happy that world war 2 was over because now
no one will get hurt. World war 2 was called that because most of the
world took place in world war 2. The people on England's team where
called the allies and the people against them where called the axis
and the people who didn't take part where called the neutrals.
